Game 1 – This game mode is activated when the program starts. Your goal is to guess the secret code randomly chosen by the computer. To start, choose the colors to play by clicking on the four positions of the first row, the lowest one of the board. You can also use the cursor keys and the mouse wheel to select the desired combination. Chosen 4 colors click on the green check or press enter to confirm. The computer will display the key code consisting of black and white pins. Based on the key code you will be able to play a new combination on the next line. The red icon with the “X” allows you to remove the pins inserted for the current combination. The blue icon to the right of the game board allows you to change the last combination played.
Game 2 – In this mode the computer will try to guess your chosen Secret Code. Keep your code in mind or write it on a piece of paper. At each attempt code chosen by the computer, you will have to insert the black / white pegs of the Key Code by clicking in the appropriate four holes on the left of the combination played by the computer. The key code must be confirmed by clicking the green check mark.
6 Colors – The colors for all game modes are set to 6 and are: blue, red, yellow, green, white, black. Changing the color numbers will cancel the current game and a new one will be started
8 Colors – To the 6 colors, orange and brown are added.
Score – Displays the score of both the player and the computer and the number of games played for both. When one of the two players exceeds 20 points and both players have played the same number of games, the winner will be displayed. The points are also shown with two pegs, one white and one black on the game board. If you don’t want to challenge the computer, you can ignore this feature.
Demo – The program will play a game in which it will guess a randomly generated Secret Code. No iteration is required.

Options – Opens a menu with the following options:
English / Italiano – Allows you to select the language for the messages produced by the game.
Sound On / Sound Off – Turn game sounds on and off.
ColorBar On / ColorBar Off – Activates and deactivates the color bar useful for keeping track of the colors to keep and to exclude for the choice of codes to play. Clicking the colors, they go to the excluded status showing an “X”.
Score Reset – Reset the score and number of games played by the player and the computer.

Left Codes (remaining Codes) – Lists the number of possible secret codes and reports the total. To scroll through the codes click on the black arrows at the bottom or use the “up arrow” and “down arrow” cursor keys. The mouse wheel, on the other hand, scrolls through the codes in groups of ten. To play one of the codes, click the corresponding green tick icon. If there is a number to the right of a code, this indicates the maximum number of secret codes that can remain after playing the code.
Best Codes – Lists the codes generated by a simulation algorithm. As for the Left Codes, the number to the right of each code indicates the maximum number of secret codes that can remain for the next game. Sometimes they may coincide with the Left Codes, others may not. For details: Left Code and Best Codes
Secret Code – By clicking the cover that hides the secret code, it will open and it will be possible to see the secret code.
The settings, the games played and the score are saved in the config.ini file when the program is closed
